To blog or not to blog… is it really a question?

To blog or not to blog… is it really a question?

You might expect a professional blog here with much solemn advice about the secrets to wellbeing and nutritional health. Fact is, I started writing my first blogs when I was 10. Back then, they were journals written with an ink pen. The first few entries with a messy fountain pen, although how anyone could possibly expect clean fountain pen writing from a left hander is beyond me. It would work in Arabic. The writing goes the other way. Perhaps the right handed Arabs suffer a similar fate to our left handed fountain pen bearers. Eventually the ink washes off… eventually, but the smears on the paper are another matter. I am glad that chapter of my life has passed. My own little 10 year old lefty, quickly abandoned the fountain pen after a few weeks and moved on. A generation not bound by the fearful must of adults expectations. The world must bend to meet her. There are many books of hidden journals in a case in my attic. I am slow to share my thoughts. But if I am to do so, it shall be here on my own website. Forgive me if this is personal, but I lack the filters we so often use to shield us from the world, her criticism and her judgement. When I write, the filters are off.  Perhaps that is why so much of my creative works of art are hidden in a locked case in the attic. Sometimes I take them out and read extracts from my own thoughs. I marvel at how engrossed I was in the feeling of that particular episode of my life. And how quickly these all consuming thoughts are forgotten.

So here I am, with my own blog. A license to unleash random thoughts that come to me on my very own tiny little corner of the World Wide Web. And so it begins…
